Jack E. High

Jack E. High, 79, formerly of 50 Edgewood Dr., died Monday afternoon in Mercy Hospital, Willard, after a short illness. He was born July 4, 1911 in Shelby, the son of Addison and May (Garnhart) High.
Mr. High attended Oberlin College. He was a retired mecanical engineer from the Fate-Root-Heath Co. in Plymouth. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, and a member of the First Lutheran Church in Shelby.
Surviving are 2 nieces: Mrs. Vance (Mary) Hoffman of Plymouth and Margy Elliott of Shelby; a cousin, Mary Kuhn of Shelby.
He was preceded in death by his wife Fern (Benedict) High in 1981.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at the Turner Funeral Home by the Rev. Dr. Carl L. Johnson. Calling hours will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.
Memrial contributions may be made to the First Lutheran Church and left in care of the funeral home.
