Irene M. (Norris) Baker
Irene M. Baker, 72, of 137 1/2 N. Gamble St., died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002, at Med-Central Shelby Hospital.
She was born July 17, 1930 in Woodsfield, Ohio, the daughter of the late Russell and Freda Kindleberger Norris. She was a 1948 Plymouth High School graduate. She was a retired employee of Shelby Business Forms and attended First United Methodist Church. Irene was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her number-one love was spending time with her family. She enjoyed flower gardening, cooking and baking, jigsaw puzzles and traveling–especially to Lake Erie.
Irene is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Steven and Dawn Baker of Mansfield and Blane and Roni Baker of Kayenta, AZ; four daughters and three sons-in-law: Linda and Larry Kennard of Shiloh, Kay and Larry Williams of Mansfield, Marsha and Dale Cline of Shelby and Gloria Roberts of Willard; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-Iaw, Ronald and Judy Norris of Shelby; and sister and brother-in-law, Jan and Don Stanley of Tucson, AZ. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Sue Baker.
Calling hours will be on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002. from 3-5 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home, 168 W. Main St., Shelby, where funeral services will be on Monday at 10:30 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Gail Angel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Plymouth.
