Irene (Dick) Hartman

Irene Hartman, age 82, of 66 Park Village, Shelby, died unexpectedly early Sunday morning, July 28, 1996 in Med Central- Shelby Hospital. She was born September 24, 1913 in Shelby, the daughter of George Lester and Freda (Hoak) Dick.

Mrs. Hartman was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church in Shelby. She was an active member of A.A.R.P. in Shelby,
the Busy Bee Club, and was a volunteer at Med Central – Shelby Hospital for many years.

She is survived by 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Richard L. and Ruth Ann Hartman of Plymouth,Ohio; Dwight W. and Betty Jane Hartman of Cheselhurst, New Jersey; George L. and Mary Hartman of Norwalk, Ohio; 4 grandchildren; 2 foster grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter.

She married Charles W. Hartman in 1932 and he preceded her in death in 1972. She was also preceded in death by her parents and by a sister, Louise Blackledge in 1983.

Calling hours will be in Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with her pastor Rev. Craig Jones, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.
