Inez (Staton) Martin

Inez Martin, age 88, of 30 Park Village, Shelby, died Wednesday, March 20, 1996, in the Crestwood Care Center. She was born March 25, 1907 in Scranton, Kentucky the daughter of Charlie and Hulda (Donahue) Staton.

Mrs. Martin was a homemaker and had worked many years as a pie baker at the Coffee Shop in Shelby. She was a member of the Church Of The Nazarene in Shelby, and A.A.R.P.

Mrs. Martin is survived by 1 daughter, Leona Clark of Lexington;
3 grandchildren; 6 greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Cecil Staton and Billy Staton and by 3 sisters, Mary Belle Argo, Pearl McClain and Myrtle Ingram.

Calling hours will be on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street in Shelby. Pastor Lester R. Champer will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.
