Ila Leona (Donley) McKenzie
Ila Leona McKenzie, age 64, of 48 South Street, Shelby, died unexpectedly, Thursday, June 19, 1997, in Med Central-Shelby Hospital. She was born August 28, 1932 in Lansing, Michigan the daughter of Floyd and Leona (Marsh) Donley.
Mrs. McKenzie was a homemaker and an active member of the First Church of God on State Route 39 for over 20 years.
She is survived by her husband, Lenzie W. McKenzie, whom she married on February 4, 1967; 3 sons, David Ujlaky at home, Joseph Ziegler of Michigan and James Ziegler of Chicago, Illinois; a step-son and his wife, Gary and Sherry McKenzie of Mansfield, a step-daughter, Linda McKenzie of Tennessee; 3 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Kenny Donley and Howard Donley both of Michigan; 3 sisters, Elizabeth Corbin and Marion Duncan both of Marysville, Ohio and Sarah Fahlgren of Michigan.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Floyd Donley, Jr. and David Donley.
Calling hours will be on Saturday from 2-4 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home and from 6-7 p.m at the First Church of God on State Route 39 where the funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. by Pastor Tim E. Schrock.
Graveside services will be on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Oakland Cemetery, in Shelby.
