Howard L. Boreman
Howard L. Boreman, age 76, of 21 Third Street in Shelby, died Wednesday morning in the Crestwood Care Center after a short illness.
He was born April 14, 1917 in Shelby the son of Lorenzo and Delia ( Sines) Boreman.
Mr. Boreman was a former employee of Wilkins Air Force Depot in Shelby and also worked at Carton Service. He attended the Trinity United Methodist Church in Shelby, and was a life member of the Shelby American Legion O’Brien Post #326. He was a 1935 graduate of Shelby High School. He was an Army veteran of WWII where he earned the Purple Heart.
Mr. Boreman is survived by his wife, former Upper Sandusky Resident, Mary (McLane) Boreman whom he married on May 7, 1943; 1 daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Paul D. Madden of Ashland; 2 grandchildren, Paul and Jennifer Madden. He was preceded in death by 1 sister, Wanda Sparks.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. J. Malcolm Brook, pastor of the Trinity United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby, where military graveside services will be conducted by the Shelby American Legion.
