Hildred Catherine (Brooks) Stults

Hildred Catherine (Brooks) Stults, age 83, of 30 Vernon Road, Shelby, died Tuesday, August 24, 1999 at Med Central Mansfield Hospital after a 4-month illness.

She was born October 10, 1915 in Arlington, Ohio, the daughter of Harve Sanderson and Hazel Dell (Reedy) Brooks, and was raised in Lebanon, Ohio by her aunt and uncle, Homer and Nellie Reedy. Mrs. Stults was a graduate of Shelby High School. She worked for Max Oxman in Shelby, the Shelby Spring Hinge Company, Doctor James Ellery, and retired from the Medical Records Department at Shelby Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Christian Womens Fellowship.

Mrs. Stults is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Tom Kirkpatrick of Mansfield with whom she had been living since becoming ill; many nieces and nephews including: Jack and
Joy Waddell of San Antonio, TX and Mark and Victoria Kirkpatrick of Brooklyn, OH; a sister-in-law, Pauline Brooks of Clyde, OH.

On October 13, 1952 she married Thurman J. Stults in Angola, IN, and he preceded her in death on February 19, 1990. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers: Delbert, Donald, and Harvey Brooks.

Graveside services will be on Saturday at 10 AM at Oakland Cemetery in Shelby with Rev. Craig Jones officiating. Memorial expressions may be made to the First Christian Church. The family has chosen the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby to assist them with funeral arrangements.
