Henrietta A. (Lauby) Hafer Speer

Henrietta A. Speer, 91, formerly of 74 Mansfield Ave. , died Sunday morning in the Crestwood Care Center after a short illness.

She was born December 6, 1895 in the Shelby Settlement, the daughter of William and Mary (Fisher) Lauby.

She is survived by one son: Harold J. (Bud) Hafer of Shelby; one daughter: Mrs. John (Mary Louise) Boyer of Independence, Ohio; 4 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl W. Hafer in 1920; her second husband, Ivan S. Speer in 1974; 4 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Mrs. Speer had been an employee of the Former Shelby Salesbook Co. and was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday at 11 A.M. at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church by the Rev. Bernard A. Kokocinski. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Shelby. Friends may call today from
2-4 and 7-9 P.M.at the Turner Funeral Home where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 7:30 P.M. this evening.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Most Pure Heart of Mary Church Memorial Fund and left at the funeral home.
