Helen (Swanger) Lybarger

Helen Swanger Lybarger, age 74, of 120 Mansfield Avenue, Shelby, died early Monday morning October 5, 1998 at her home after an extended illness.
Helen was born September 22, 1924 in Richland County, Ohio the daughter of William and Grace (Gutchall) Swanger. She attended Tiro and Shelby Schools and was a former member of the Mansfield Art Center. She was a member of Fond Memories Doll Club and was well known for her ceramics and oil paintings. Helen was a vendor at the Richland County Flea Market for over 20 years.
She is survived by 1 son and daughter-in-law, Dave and Della Lybarger of Shiloh; 2 grandsons, Jeff Lybarger of Galion and Jeremy Lybarger of Shiloh; 3 sisters and 2 brothers-in-law, Bea and Raymond Baker, Gladys Ewing , Elsie and Lester Shepherd all of Shelby; 4 brothers and 5
sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Esther Swanger, Glen and Bonnie Swanger, William and Lucille Swanger, Don and Jane Swanger, and Virginia Swanger all of Shelby. Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William H. Lybarger in 1989, a sister, Mildred Pugh, a brother, Frank Swanger, and a grandson, Logan Lybarger.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 2-3 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby. Graveside services will be held at 3:15 P.M. at Oakland Cemetery in Shelby with Rev. Monty Perry, Pastor of the Stiving Road Freewill Baptist Church officiating.
