Helen R. (Aschbacher) Graves

Helen R. Graves, age 69, of 19 West Maxwell Drive, Shelby, died unexpectedly early Tuesday morning while visiting her daughter in Gresham, Oregon. She was born October 29, 1919 in New Washington, Ohio, the daughter of John and Irene (Hepp) Aschbacher.

Mrs. Graves was a retired assistant underwriter from the Shelby Mutual Insurance Company. She was a member of AARP.

Mrs. Graves is survived by 3 sons: Leslie Albright of Shelby, Jan Graves of Norwalk, and Tom Graves of Portland, Oregon; 3 daughters: Mrs. Philip (Terry) Metzger of Lexington, Mrs. Patrik (Suzi) Norris of Gresham, Oregon, and Rita Hatch of Winter Park, Florida; 13 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd Albright in 1945 and by her second
husband Granville Graves in 1988.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 A.M. at the Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. Floyd Whitesel, Pastor of the First Church Of God, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association and left at the funeral home.
