Helen M. (Maurer) Taylor
Helen M. Taylor, 86, of 1835 Lexington-Springmill Road, Mansfield, died at 2:45 p.m. Thursday at the Crestwood Care Center after a short illness.
Born Sept. 30, 1898 in Mansfield, she had been a Mansfield resident her entire life.
She was a homemaker and a member of the St. John United Church of Christ in Mansfield. She was a member of the Mansfield Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Naomi Shrine in Mansfield.
Surviving are her son, Robert Taylor of Shelby; a daughter, Mary Frary of Fredericktown; two grandsons, and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mary (Miller) Maurer, and her husband, Scott W. Taylor, in 1978.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Beighley, pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Shelby, officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
Friends may call 6-9 this evening and any time prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
