Helen A. Finnegan
Helen A. Finnegan, age 83, of 29 Plum Avenue, Shelby, died at 5:53 a.m. Sunday in the emergency room at Shelby Memorial Hospital after taking ill at home. She was born December 21, 1903 in Shelby the daughter of William Bernard and Nellie (Whalon) Finnegan.
Miss Finnegan is survived by 2 sisters: Rose Finnegan of Shelby, and Mrs. Robert (Marie) O’Ferrall of Newark; and 2 nieces. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers.
Miss Finnegan was a former employee of the Shelby Cycle Co., a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church and the Catholic Ladies of Columbia.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church with her pastor the Rev. Bernard Kokocinski, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemtery in Shelby. Friends may call this evening from 7-9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home where a Christian wake service will be conducted at 8: 30 p.m.
