Hattie M. (Caudill) Brown

Hattie M. Brown, age 66, of 2824 Myers Road, Shelby, died Friday evening at Shelby Memorial Hospital after an extened illness.

She was born January 2, 1923 in Morehead, Kentucky the daughter of Everett and Clora (Hall) Caudill.

Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband Howard Brown, whom she married on November 5, 1938, 2 sons: Gary Howard Brown and Ronald Lee Brown of Glasgow, Kentucky; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchilren; 2 sisters: Irene Morris and Mattie Foreman both of Shelby. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 1 brother.

Mrs. Brown had been an employee for 17 years in the meat department of Cornell’s IGA and taught ceramic classes and sold ceramic products at her home for 16 years. She was a member of the Shelby Moose Auxiliary.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. Steven L. Schag, Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home. Memorial expressions may be made to the American Cancer Society and left at the funeral home.
