Harold William Bogner

Harold William Bogner, age 72, of Shelby, Ohio, died Sunday Morning, May 19, 1996 in Med Central-Shelby Hospital after a short illness. He was born March 28, 1924 in Willard, Ohio the son of the late Frank and Hilda (Sauber) Bogner.

Mr. Bogner was a graduate of Willard High School, an Army veteran of W.W. II, and retired from PPG Industries in Crestline in 1986. He was a member of Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Church, Shelby George Broderick Post #291 Veterans of Foreign Wars, Shelby O’Brien Post #326 American Legion.

Mr. Bogner is survived by his wife, Avis W. (Creveling) Bogner whom he married on January 18, 1951; 2 daughters and 1 son-in-law, Claudia Bogner of Columbus, Ohio, and Brenda and Mark Searfoss of St. Joseph, Michigan. 2 granddaughters, Joann and Laura Searfoss. Three Brothers, Earl Bogner of Crestline, James Bogner of Lima, and Carl “Butch” Bogner of Willard.

He was precede in death by a sister, Helen Ellis, and 4 brothers, Donald Bogner, Robert Bogner, Thomas Bogner and Paul Bogner.

Friends may call at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby on Monday from 7-9 P.M. where a wake service will be held at 8:30 P.M. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Church with Father John C. Missler, officiating. Burial will be in Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Cemetery.
