Harold V. Lingenfelter

Harold V. Lingenfelter, age 89, formerly of
Lynn Road, Shelby, died Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at the Sycamore Run Nursing Home in Millersburg, Ohio after a short illness.

He was born June 9, 1919 in Timblin, Pennsylvania the son of the late Oscar and Zella (Boucher) Lingenfelter. He was an Air Force veteran serving in WWII. Harold retired in 1983 from Honeywell, Inc. after 33 years of service. He was a member of FirstUnitedMethodistChurch in Shelby, Plumbers and Steamfitters Local # 42, Shelby Masonic Lodge #350 F & AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Erie, Pennsylvania, Baku Grotto in Mansfield. Harold enjoyed woodworking and golfing.

Harold is survived by his son and wife, David and June Lingenfelter of Holmesville, Ohio; daughter, Bonnie Harris of Westerville, Ohio; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; a sister, Doris Snyder of Austintown, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laveda N. (Beckman) Lingenfelter in 1990, by a half brother, Ralph Lingenfelter, 2 brothers, Dwight and Lorrain Lingenfelter, a sister, Christine Gahagan and a son-in-law, Gary Harris

Friends may call on Friday, September 12, 2008 from1:30 PM-2:30 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM by Rev. Kenn Curren of the Holmesville United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in OaklandCemetery in Shelby with military honors.
