Harold Theron Hanno

Harold Theron Hanno, age 80, of 14 Sherwood Drive, Shelby, died early Saturday morning, February 27, 1999 at the Crestwood Care Center after and extended illness.

Mr. Hanno was born October 27, 1918 in St. Louis, Missouri the son of Theodor “Jack” and Lillian (Haselhorst) Hanno. He was a 1936 graduate of Shelby High School and had been a State Farm Insurance agent for many years. He retired from U-Forma Shelby Business Forms in 1982 after 22 years of service. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church where he served as an usher and on the Administrative Board, Shelby Masonic Lodge 350 F and AM, Shelby Chapter #178 RAM, Shelby American Legions O’Brien Post #326, A.A.R.P. He was an Army veteran of World War ll.

Mr. Hanno is survived by his wife, Winifred (Cline) Hanno, whom he married on May 10, 1947; 1 son, Steve Hanno of Shelby; a daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Gary Dvorak of Shelby; 3 granddaughters: Kristin Dvorak of Columbus, Kari Dvorak of Bowling Green and Katie Dvorak of Shelby. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Hanno, his parents, and a step-mother Emma Anderson Hanno.

Calling hours will be on Sunday, February 28, 1999 from 1:30-3:30 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby, where funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, with Rev. Jeff Matthews officiating. Masonic services will be held Sunday at 7:45 P.M. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. Memorial expressions may be made to the Alzheimer Association, First United Methodist Church or to the Parkinson Foundation and left in care of the funeral home.
