Harold R. Bricker

Harold R. Bricker, age 86, of Shelby, died Monday, June 15, 2009 at Med Central Shelby Hospital.

He was born January 30, 1923 in Mansfield, Ohio the son of the late Carl J. and Barbara (Gross) Bricker. Harold was a Navy veteran of WWII. He retired from Gorman-Rupp in Mansfield and prior to that he worked at AiResearch Mfg. in California. He was a member of Shelby American Legion OBrien Post #326 and Shelby VFW George Broderick Post #291.
Harold enjoyed golfing, fishing, and bowling.

On July 28, 1945 Harold married Cora (Miller) Bricker and she survives. Also surviving are 3 children: Jackie and Dennis Christopherson of Shelby; Harold R. Bricker, Jr. of Shelby; Robert A. and Penny Bricker of Shelby; 7 grandchildren: Teresa Morehouse, Dennis Christopherson, Kris Christopherson, Amy Bricker, Tracy Pyers, Julie Adams, Jason Bricker; 13 great grandchildren; 2 brothers: Richard and Linda Bricker of Fredericktown, and John and Janet Bricker of Mifflin. He was preceded in death by a son John E. Bricker, a granddaughter, Roberta Christopherson, a brother, Carl Bricker during WWII, and a sister, Helen Bunting.

Friends may call on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 from 6-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby where funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 10:30 AM by Rev. Brad Mc Bee, Pastor of First Christian Church. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby with military honors conducted by the Joint Veterans Burial Detail. Memorial expressions may be made to the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky.
