Harold P. “Bud” Williams

Harold P. “Bud” Williams, age 68, of 157 West Main Street, died at 11:51 p.m. Thursday in Shelby Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. He was born November 25, 1921 in Bucyrus, Ohio, the son of Pearl and Daisy (Whitter) Williams.

Mr. Williams was a self-employed painter. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Shelby. He was an Army veteran of WWII.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Esther (Roberts) Williams, whom he married on August 28, 1941; 2 sons: H. Phillip Williams of Dublin and Larry A. Williams of Shelby; 3 daughters: Jeanne A. Buckholz of Avon, Ohio; Sandra Kay Williams-Kato of Denver, Colorado; and Mrs. James (Kimberly) Williams of Shelby; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandaughter; 2 sisters: Donna Rhoads of Crestline and Evelyn Fulton of Clifton, NJ; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by 1 son and 2 brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Malcolm Brook, Pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby, where military graves ide services will be conducted by the Shelby American Legion. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home where Fraternal Order of Eagles will conduct services Sunday evening at 8:30 PM.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and left at the funeral home.
