H. Lester Brock

H. Lester Brock, 85, formerly of 65 S. Gamble St., died Wednesday afternoon in the Crestwood Care Center after a one-year illness.

Born Jan. 7, 1900, in Pine Grove, WV, he was the son of Carl and Tillie (Davis) Brock.

He is survived by two half-sisters, Marguerite Slater of Tarpon Springs, FL, and Louise Cermak of Garfield Heights. Numerous cousins also survive in Shelby.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy (Hollenbaugh) Brock in 1947.

He retired in 1965 from the municipal water treatment plant in Shelby. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Shelby.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. M.P. Paetznick officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the First Lutheran Church.
