Grace L. (Mumau) Schlereth

Grace L. Schlereth, age 87, formerly of 15 Williams Court in Shelby, died wednesday evening in the Crestwood Care Center after an extended illness. She was born October 29, 1900 in Plymouth, the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Boyce) Mumau.

Mrs. Schlereth is survived by 2 sons: Donald of Lima, and Gerald of Mansfield; 2 daughters: Mrs. Clifford (Mary) Purkey of Willouby, Ohio, and Mrs. Ralph (Janece) Harris of Kissimmee, FL;16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 brother William Mumau of Sandusky, OH; 2 sisters: Mrs. Tom (Alice) Jacobs of Mansfield, and Mrs. Elmer (Geneva) Bittleston of Boise, Idaho.

She was preceded in death by 1 brother.

Mrs. Schlereth was a former employee of Wilkins Airforce Depot in Shelby.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 2:00 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. William Medley, Pastor of the First Church of The Nazarene officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m at the funeral home.
