Grace I. Uzunoff Gies

Grace I. Uzunoff Gies, age 68, of 125 Plymouth Street, Shelby, died Sunday August 15, 2004, at the Crystal Care Center in Mansfield.

She was born April 10, 1936 in Attica, Ohio the daughter of the late Merlyn Charles and Ruth Marie (Cole) Mulvane. Grace was a former employee of Crestwood Care Center and attended First Church of The Nazarene in Shelby. A homemaker, she enjoyed sewing, flower gardening and reading her Bible.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Gies whom she married on
July 2, 2000; 4 sons, Daniel and Eileen Porter of Shiloh, Stephen and Sue Uzunoff of Mishawaka, IN, Benjamin Uzunoff of Mansfield and Kevin Uzunoff of Houston, TX; 3 daughters, Deborah and Joe Deskins of Shiloh, Marie and Edward Legg of New Washington and Peggy Sue and John Lovelady of Shelby; 15 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 5 brothers, Arden and Carrie Mulvane of Plymouth, Wendell and Ruth Mulvane of Sandusky, Cecil and Cherrie Mulvane of Bloomville, Meryln Jr. and Valerie Mulvane of Shelby and Gary and Linda Mulvane of Bellevue; 2 sisters, Evelyn and Duane Evans of Bellevue and Bonnie and Larry Trimble of Bloomville. She was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, Nicholas Allan Cordrey and Tonia Renee Schaffer, 3 brothers, Edward, Vernon and Howard Mulvane, 2 sisters, Susan and Betty Mulvane.

Friends may call on Tuesday, August 17, 2004 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Daniel Humrichouser officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Society.
