Glenn S. Lantz
Glenn S. Lantz, age 87, of 647 Pugh Road, Mansfield, Ohio, and formerly of Shelby, died Monday, January 21, 2002 at Mifflin Care Center after a short illness.
He was born November 12, 1914 in Richland County, Ohio, the son of the late Charles C. and Blanche M. (Crall) Lantz. Mr. Lantz was a dairy farmer and was co-owner of Shelby Welding.
He was a U S. Navy veteran of WWII and was a member of VFW George Broderick Post #291, American Legion O’Brien Post #326, Loyal Order of the Moose #422, F.O.E. Aerie #763 all in Shelby.
Mr. Lantz is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, DeLayne “Dee” and Anthony Fox of Mansfield; 2 grandchildren and spouse, Kevin and Melissa Fidler and Kelly Fidler; 2 great-grandchildren: Micaela and MacKenzie Fidler; a brother Paul S. Lantz of MansfieId.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty C. (Reed) Lantz in 1987; 2 brothers, Alfred and Leon Lantz.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday, January 23, 2002 , from 6-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 AM with Rev. Steven C. Bond, pastor of First Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery with military honors. Memorial expressions may be made to FISH or Alzheimers Association.
