Glenn Jay Myers

Glenn Jay Myers, age 98, of 2438 State Route 96, Shelby, died unexpectedly Friday afternoon in the Heritage Care Center. He was born August 16, 1890 in Shelby, the son of William and Della (Laser) Myers. On March 4, 1914 he married Golda Artz, and in 1988 they celebrated their
74th wedding anniversary. She preceded him in death on November 6, 1988.

Mr. Myers is survived by 1 son, Marlin Myers; and 1 daughter, Mrs. Glenn (Vera) Haverfield both of Shelby; 3 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Myers was a farmer and a member of the First Lutheran Church in Shelby.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Turner Funeral Home with his pastor the Rev. Dr. Carl L. Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial expressions may be made to the First Lutheran Church and left at the funeral home.
