Gladys M. (Bailey) Ford
Gladys M. Ford, age 88, of 116 Park Village in Shelby, died unexpectedly Thursday morning in the Heritage Care Center. She was born May 21, 1905 in Glouster, Ohio the daughter of Dean and Fannie (Walker) Bailey.
Mrs. Ford was a homemaker. For many years she and her husband Kenneth operated Walkers Dairy in Shelby. She had also worked at the Park Village Office. She was a member of the First
United Methodist Church and Circle 114 at the Church and A.A.R.P.
Mrs. Ford is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Warren and Nannette Ford of Marion; a daughter and son-in-law: Patricia and Raymond Downs of Shelby; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 sister: Frances Weiland of Hebron.
She was precededed in death by her husband, E. Kenneth Ford in April of 1987, an infant son, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Shelby with Rev. Deb Beaver, Associate Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.
Memorial expressions may be made to the Memorial Fund at the First United Methodist Church and left in care of the Turner Funeral Home.
