Gladys Irene (Bailey) Baith

Gladys Irene Baith, 83, formerly of 93 Park Village died early this morning in the McCauley Care Center in Mansfield.

She was born May 20, 1909, in Knox County, PA., to Benjamin Ira and Margaret Amelia Barr Bailey, both now deceased. She worked in the office of her husband’s business, Baith Brothers Moving and Storage in Mansfield.

She was a member of the First Church of God on Park Avenue West in Mansfield.

Surviving are her husband, Jesse Leonard Baith, whom she married June 5, 1928; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Benjamin R. and Norma J. Baith of Shelby, Roy Graham Baith of Mansfield and Timothy R. and Mary Beth Baith of Columbus; five daughters and four sons-in-law, Donna Baith of Murray, KY, Linda Rae and Earnest Grogg of Lexington, Cinda Lou and Richard Elliott of Lexington, KY., Rebecca and James Zivkoff of Lucas; and Patricia and Kip Dyer of Bellville; 22 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Jesse Leonard Baith, Jr. and Richard Leigh Baith; eight brothers and sisters. She was the last of her family.

Calling hours will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m. at the Turner Funeral Home by the Rev. Paul E. Donihue, her pastor. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of God in care of the funeral home.
