Gladys D. (Weber) Latimer

Gladys D. Latimer, age 92, formerly of Holtz Road, Shelby died Monday, December 12, 2005 at the Crestwood Care Center after an extended illness.
She was born April 17, 1913 in Richland County, Ohio the daughter of the late Fred W. and Flossie L. (Esterline) Weber. She retired in 1975 from Westinghouse in Mansfield after 25 years of service. Prior to that, she worked at Wilkens Air Force Depot in Shelby. She was a social member of VFW George Broderick Post #291 and enjoyed bowling, fishing, playing pool, traveling and playing cards.
Gladys is survived by her daughter, Opal Messersmith of Shelby, 5 grandchildren and spouses, Diana and James Haley of Shelby, Debra and Donald Adkins of Crestline, Richard Jr. and Sheila Messersmith of Shelby, Kim L. Messersmith of Shelby, Randie and John Boyer of Shelby; 9 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren; 5 step great great grandchildren; a niece, Barbara Music and a nephew, Richard Weber both of Shiloh. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lois Irene Latimer, a grandson, Ross Allen Adkins, a brother, Walter Ralph Weber and a son-in-law, Richard Messersmith, Sr.
Friends may call on Wednesday, December 14, 2005 from 6-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Gail Angel, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. Memorial expressions may be made to the Altzheimers Association.
