Geraldine J. “Gerry” (Moser) Strong

Geraldine J. “Gerry” Strong, 56, of 1159 Taylortown Road, Mansfield, died at 1:30 a.m. Friday at Shelby Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.

She was born April 28, 1929 in Findlay.

SurvIvors include her husband, Glenn E. Strong, whom she married on June 27, 1948; one daughter, Mrs. Tim (Linda) Shade of Shelby; one son, Philip Strong of Clarkston, MI; her parents, Russell and Lydia (Coleman) Moser of Plymouth; four grandchildren; and two brothers: Roger Moser of Jasper, AL, and Darrel Moser of Wisconsin Rapids, WI.

Mrs. Strong and her husband were the former owners of Strong’s Sohio station in Shiloh. She was a member of the Ganges Community United Church of Christ and the Ladies Aid Society of the church.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Ganges Community United Church of Christ, with her pastor, Rev. Garry Crites officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Shiloh. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Turner Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the church and left at the funeral home.
