Frank J. Eberl

Frank J. Eberl, age 91, formerly of Stein Road, Shelby, died Saturday, September 23, 2006 at the Crestwood Care Center after an extended illness.

He was born November 23, 1914 in North Auburn the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Yaklin) Eberl. Mr. Eberl was a farmer all of his life, and also dug farm ponds and refurbished cars for re-sale. He was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. He enjoyed going to auctions and collecting scrap iron.

Frank is survived by his 6 daughters and their husbands: Dorothy and Tom Niese of Tiro, Janet and Jim Adelman of Norwalk, Eileen and Bob Davies of North Carolina, Linda and Bill Brant of Washington, Miriam and Paul Schroeder of Shelby and Ann and Bob Estep of Tennessee; 19 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and a sister: Agnes G. Miller of Shelby. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Marie (Roettgen) Eberl in 1997, 1 brother, Julius Eberl and by 4 sisters, Mary Trucks, Frances Phillips, Julia Meyers and Catherine Meyers.

Friends may call on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 from 5-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby where the rosary will be recited at 7:45 PM. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:30 AM at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Father Nick Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Memorial expressions may be made to the church. The family would like to thank the staff at Crestwood Care Center for the love and concern shown to Frank and his family.
