Frank A. Marfia

Frank A. Marfia, 78, of 64 Mack Avenue, died Friday afternoon at his home. He was born May 25, 1914, in Ambrige, PA, the son of Anthony and Pasqualina (Petucci) Marfia.

Mr. Marfia retired from Conrail as a conductor. He was a member of the United Transportation Union and the Catholic church.

He is survived by a friend, Violet Adams, with whom he made his home; a son, Anthony Marfia of Langhorne, PA; a granddaughter; and a sister, Pauline Scalercio of Sewickly, PA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Joseph Marfia in 1965; and a brother.

Calling hours will be Sunday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby, where funeral services will be held Sunday at 8 p.m. by the Rev. John C. Missler, pastor of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Coraopolis, PA, where a committal service will be held at noon, Monday, in the cemetery chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice and left in care of the funeral home.
