Floyd Marshall James

Floyd Marshall James, age 84, of Shelby, died Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at the Crestwood Care Center.
He was born November 26, 1925 in Willard, the son of the late Floyd Marshall and Sylvia (Lloyd) James. Floyd was an Army veteran of World War II. He retired from Westinghouse in Mansfield after 35 years of service. In his younger years, Floyd enjoyed hunting and sports. His most pleasurable moments were times spent with his family.
Floyd is survived by his wife of 60 years: June (Hohler) James, whom he wed on April 15, 1950; His children: Diane Claypool of Shelby, Nancy and Chuck Thomas of Florence, SC, Steve and Brenda James of Shelby, Bill and Mary James of Henryville, IN, Barbara and Steve Graham of Louisville, KY; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son: David Marshall James in 1975, a sister: Shirley James and a son-in-law: Jerry Claypool.
Friends may call on Friday, May 7, 2010 from Noon – 1 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street Shelby where funeral services will be held at 1 PM conducted by Father Nick Cunningham. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby with military honors. Memorial expressions may be made to Crestwood Care Center Activity Fund.
