Floyd Edwin Taylor
Floyd Edwin Taylor, age 95, of State Route 314, Shelby, died Wednesday morning in the Heritage Care Center after a short illness. He was born December 9, 1892 in Richland County, the son of Charles and Ida (Bowls) Taylor.
Mr. Taylor is survived by 1 daughter, Mrs. Karl (Mercille) Seymour of Lancaster, PA; 2 sons: Gene Taylor of Shelby, and Glen Taylor of Crestline; 12 Grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Irene Wentz of Mansfield.
Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his wife, Lula Taylor in 1959; his son, Dale Taylor in 1982; and by 1 great grandson.
Mr. Taylor was a roll turner at Empire Detroit Steel Co. in Mansfield, retiring in 1959 after 33 years
of service. He was a member of the Mayflower United Church of Christ in Mansfield and the United Steel Workers Local #169.
Funeral services will be held on Saturaday at 10:0 A.M. at the Turner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Floyd Whitesel, pastor of the First Church of God, officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Friends may call on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Turner Funeral Home.
