Florence L. (Brinkerhoff) Lego

Florence L. Lego, 90, formerly of 23 Smiley Gardens and recently a resident of Crestwood Care Center in Shelby, died Thursday afternoon in Shelby Memorial Hospital.

She was born Jan. 26, 1903, in Plymouth to Mortimer S. and Grace Kinney Brinkerhoff, both now deceased. She was a homemaker, a member of the First United Church of Christ in Shelby, and the Rizpah Chapter 153, Order of Eastern Star.

Surviving are a sister, Bernice Smith of Shelby; a brother, Roeliff Loomis of Shelby, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lego, in 1989; two brothers, and one sister.

Calling hours will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Turner Funeral Home, where services will be held at 11 a.m. by her pastor, the Rev. John J. Bradley. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or to the First United Church of Christ in care of the funeral home.
