Florence Edna (Krichbaum) Shearer
Florence Edna Shearer, age 93, formerely of 4220 Weidner Road, Shelby, died Saturday, June 17, 2000 at the Rosewood Manor Nursing Home in Galion after a short illness.
Mrs. Shearer was born May 3, 1907 in Crestline, Ohio, the daughter of Peter G. and Elsie M.(Kress) Krichbaum. On May 4, 1927 she married Clarence Earl Shearer, and he preceded her in death in November 1998.
She was a homemaker, and was a member of Four Corners Club, First Lutheran Church, where she was active with her circle and Sunday school. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and raising house plants.
She is survived by a daughter: Phyllis Hudson-Northcutt of Tuscon, AZ; 2 sons and a
daughter-in-law: C. Aldon and Joyce Shearer of Galion, and Michael F. Shearer of Columbus, OH; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildlren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 4 sisters and spouses: Irene Clelan, and Mabel and Marlon Hardesty all of Mansfield, Hazel and Lawrence Schrack of Lexington, KY, and Janette and Kenneth Rebman of Bradenton, FL; 3 brothers and spouses:
Russell and Jenny Krichbaum, Ralph Krichbaum, and Edwin and Janet Krichbaum all of Mansfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, an infant daughter, 4 brothers: Oliver, Alfred, William, and Lloyd Krichbaum, and a sister, Velma.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday, June 20, 2000 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 PM with
Rev. D. Evan Houck officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial expressions may be made to the First Lutheran Church Child Care Ministry and left in care of the funeral home.
