Fern M. (Lambright) Neer

Fern M. Neer, 96, of 58 Park Village, died Monday, September 15, 2003 at her home after a brief illness.

Mrs. Neer was born March 31, 1907 in Mansfield, the daughter of the late Joseph and Minnie (Moore) Lambright. She was a 1926 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School and member of Shenandoah Christian Church. She had been a cook for the Crestview High School for 2 years and was a pollworker for the Richland County Board of Elections for over 30 years. She was a resident of Franklin Township most of her life, moving to Park Village in 1987.

On November 10, 1926 she married Karl S. Neer who died in 1980.

She is survived by two daughters: Nancy Evans-Ault of Galion, and Phyllis Wattle of Lorida, FL; two sons and daughters-in-law: William and Irmogene Neer of rural Shiloh, and Jerry and Nancy Neer of rural Ashland; one daughter-in-law, Ruth Ann Neer Griebling; one son-in-law and his wife, Bernard and Donna Wolf of rural Ashland; 18 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Alice Felver of Monroeville, PA.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, James K. Neer in 1972; one daughter, Shirley Wolf in 1996; two brothers: Herman and Harry Lambright; and one sister: Martha Gregg.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in Shenandoah Christian Church with Rev. Thomas McFadden officiating. Burial will be in Franklin Cemetery, Franklin Twp. Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Turner Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Shenandoah Christian Church.
