Evelyn H. (Knapp) McClain, 74, formerly of 12 Glenwood Drive, died Monday evening in the Crestwood Care Center after an extended illness.
She was born Nov. 28, 1909, near Shelby, to Herbert and Evelyn (Robb) Knapp. She was married to Dan C. McClain, who survives at the care center. Also surviving are one son, John McClain of Cincinnati; one sister, Mrs. Joe (Irene) Joyce of Kent; one brother, Reginald Knapp, of Shelby; and one granddaughter.
Mrs. McClain was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Shelby and the Eastern Star Chapter 90 in Circleville.
Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Turner Funeral Home by the Rev. Carl G. Beighley. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Private visitation will be held tonight for family members only. Memorial contributions may be made to Seltzer Park and left at the funeral home.
