Evelyn A. (Reynolds) Apger

Evelyn A. Apger, 84, formerly of 37 Shelby Avenue, died Thesday morning, July 18, 2000, at Heritage Care Center after a long illness.

She was born September 9, 1915 in Shelby, the daughter of the late Fred and Daisy Urich Reynolds. Mrs. Apger was a member of First Church of The Nazarene and was a former
employee of U-Forma Shelby Business Forms.

She is survived by five step-daughters, Shirley DeWitt, Sue Lewis, and Charlene Fagan, all of Shelby, Janice Donnenwirth of Mansfield, and Sandy Burkhart of Crestline; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Florence Stoffer of Shelby; and a sister-in-law, Geneva Reynolds of Shelby.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell L. Apger in 1988; three brothers, Frank, Roscoe, and Delphos Reynolds; one sister, Velma Adams, and two stepsons, William and Russell Apger.

Calling hours will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday and one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday, which will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Turner Funeral Home, Shelby. Rev. Lester Champer, her pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. Memorial expressions may be made to the church and left in care of the funeral home.
