Evelyn A. (Hawk) Yarman

Former Shelby resident, Evelyn Arleta (Hawk) Yarman, age 93, of New Port Richey, Fla., died Sept. 10, 2010 in New Port Richey.

Born Sept. 6, 1917, in Shelby, to the late Howard and Faye (Stover) Hawk, Evelyn was a resident of New Port Richey the past 40 years. Evelyn was a 1936 graduate of Shelby High School. In the 1940’s she worked at Shelby Metal Products and was a homemaker the majority of her life.

She is survived by her husband: Donald Yarman, whom she wed on June 27, 1941; nieces and nephews: Linda (Hawk) Hamilton of Fremont, OH; Paula Davis of Boise, ID; Rebecca (Hawk) and Dan Gorenflo of Marion, OH; Darlene (Hawk) and Gary Miley of Marion, OH; Molly Wilson of Ashland, OH; Marsha and Gordon Studley of Bay City, MI; Dennis and Cindy Davis of Mansfield, OH; Jeffrey and Katie Davis of Marathon, FL.; Mark and Gina Davis of Cincinnati, OH; Bruce and Barbara Davis of Copley, OH; Douglas Hawk of Boynton Beach, FL.; and Malcolm and Lynn McCuen of Bay City, MI; Beth McCuen of Newton Falls, OH; Mike and Joanne McCuen of Butler, OH; Sandy and Harold Hinkle of Shelby; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son: Gary Yarman, sisters: Irene Danine and Eunice Davis and brothers: Donald, Robert and Stewart Hawk.

Calling hours will be on Friday, September 17, 2010 at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, from Noon to 1PM where funeral services will be Friday at 1 PM conducted by Rev. Harold Mills. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. Memorial expressions may be made to
