Eunice P. (Furr) Clevenger
Eunice Pauline Clevenger, age 94, of Shelby, died Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at the Crestwood Care Center in Shelby.
She was born May 14, 1917 in Petroleum, West Virginia the daughter of the late Cora Louise (Hawkins) and Clyde Furr, Sr. She was a 1936 graduate of Harrisville High School in Harrisville, WVa. She was a former employee of Mansfield Tire and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Shelby.
Eunice is survived by her 2 sons: Norman Clevenger of Shelby and Terry (Keith) Clevenger of Alabama; a daughter: Kathryn Hope Clevenger of Toledo; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Avon S. Clevenger; 3 brothers: Clyde Furr, Jr., William Furr and Paul Jack Furr; 3 sisters: Kathleen Gibson, Helen Wilson, and Patricia Sharp; 2 daughters: Martha Ann Clevenger and Norma Sue Cleary; a son: Donald Clevenger – who was killed in Vietnam.
Friends may call on Friday, February 24, 2012 from 5-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 AM conducted by Rev. Edna Stahl. Burial will be in Myers Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church.

So sorry to hear about Eunice. We remember her as a very
pretty lady and she loved to crochet/knit. She shared many of her beautiful pieces for the Mission Auction that the Methodist church did a few years ago. We will miss her. Cherish your good times and special memories.
