Ethel (Pavlik) Sutter

Ethel Pavlik Sutter, age 79, of 18335 Royalton Road, Strongsville, died at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday in South West General Hospital in Middleburgh Heights, Ohio, unexpectedly. She was born October 1, 1914 in Strongsville the daughter of John and Susan (Dojcar) Pavlik.

Mrs. Sutter was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Strongsville. She and her late husband helped build the original St. Joseph’s Church and school in Strongsville in the late 1940’s. She sang in the church choir for many years and recently served in the Ministry of Praise. She also was past president of the Berea Seniors and was a volunteer for the American Red Cross Bloodmobile.

Mrs. Sutter is survived by 1 son and daughter-in-law, Richard P. and Kathleen Sutter of Morgantown, West Virginia; 1 brother, Paul Pavlik of Hot Springs, AR; by 3 grandchildren: Jennifer Jones, Paul Sutter, and David Sutter; 3 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Sutter, in 1969; and by a son, David H. Sutter.

The family will receive friends one-half hour prior to the funeral Mass which will be held on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bethlehem, Shelby Settlement, with Father Gary Walters, officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Memorial expressions may be made to the Sacred Heart Church and left in care of the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby, which is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
