Ethel J. (Baker) Conley

Ethel J. Conley, age 101, formerly of 159 Second Street, Shelby, died Friday afternoon, May 25, 2001 in the Crestwood Care Center in Shelby.

She was born March 19, 1900 in Greenfield, Tennessee the daughter of the late Robert and Ida (Godwin) Baker. Mrs. Conley was a homemaker and member of Elm Street Freewill Baptist Church in Shelby.

She is survived by 2 sons: Fred S. Barker and his companion Lucy Bacardi of Mesa, Arizona; Robert and Marie Barker of Mansfield; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren; 2 sisters: May Capps of Lansing, Michigan and Frances Mc Alister of Greenfield, Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ruby Conley in 1978, many brothers and sisters, and a son Dillard Barker.

Private services will be held for the family. Burial will be in Perry County, Ohio. The Turner Funeral Home in Shelby is assisting the family with the arrangements.
