Erma (Fraley) Brown

Erma Brown, age 77, of 20 Central Avenue in Shelby, died Monday evening in the Community Care Center in Shelby after an extened illness.

She was born March 30, 1911 in Farmers, Kentucky, the daughter of Orpha and John Fraley.

She is survived by her husband Russell Brown whom she married on March 31, 1930; 2 daughters: Mrs. Harold (Mary ‘Boots’) Onie and Mrs Jim (Betty) Yetzer both of Shelby; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Grace Johnson of Lancaster, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by 1 brother and 3 sisters.

Mrs. Brown and her husband Russell were owners of Brown’s Electric and Plumbing in Shelby since 1964. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m at the Turner Funeral Home with her pastor the Rev. Dr. Carl L. Johnson, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home.

Memorial expressions may be made to the First Lutheran Church and left at the funeral home.
