Eric Todd Baird
Eric Todd Baird, age 24, died Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.
Eric was born August 25, 1986 in Shelby. He graduated in 2005 from Shelby High School where he was ranked first in his class. He then continued his education at Ohio Northern University, graduating in 2009 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Accounting. He was currently working for PriceWaterhouseCoopers and was a CPA. He was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church and Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. Eric played basketball, baseball, golf and football in high school. He was an avid sports fan and followed The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns and Duke Blue Devils. Eric was a fun-loving individual that cared for all people as he was involved in many groups and activities.
Eric is survived by his parents: Todd David and Nancy Frances (Sifferlin) Baird; 2 brothers: Scott Baird , a student at Denison University and Andrew Baird of Shelby; His paternal grandparents: Howard and Marjorie (Hartz) Baird; His maternal grandparents: Carl and Margaret (Ensman) Sifferlin; Aunts and Uncles: Kim and Laurie Baird and their children – Ellen, Kelly, & Brian; Steve and Patty Baird and their children – Ryan, Adam, Megan, & Caitlyn; Kevin and Tammi Baird and their children – Blake, Hailey & Emma; Brian and Michele Glenwright and their children – Logan, Alec, & Ethan; Dan and Kathy Sifferlin and their children – Karianne & Sam; Mark and Elena Sifferlin and their children – Alexandra & Francesca; Carla and Denny Arnold and their children – Chad, Cory, & Garrett; Sandy and Chris Kelly and their children – Rex, Cate & Riley.
Friends may call on Thursday, March 17, 2011 from 1-4 and 6-9 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby where a Christian Wake Service will be conducted at 8:45 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 18, 2011 at 11 AM at Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Church with Father Nick Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Eric Baird Scholarship Fund.
