Emma F. (Kotz) Wright

Emma F. Wright, age 88, of 14 East Gaylord Avenue; Shelby, died Saturday, February 3, 2001 at the Crestwood Care Center in Shelby.

Mrs. Wright was born February 4, 1912 in Shelby, the daughter of the late Frank and Bertha (McCormic) Kotz. She was a 1930 graduate of Shelby High School and attended Mansfield Business College. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Shelby, Rizpah Chapter 153 Order of Easter Star, and had been a volunteer at Shelby Hospital for many years.

She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to, her husband, Louis E. Wright, whom she wed May 29, 1936; 2 sons and daughter-in-laws: Lynn and Cynthia Wright of Gaithersburg, MD; Rick and Connie Wright of Bakersfield, CA; 5 grandchildren and their spouses: Jason and Diane Wright of Gaithersburg, MD; Jeremy Wright of Owings Mill, MD; Trent Wright of Newport Beach, CA; Nicole and Trevor Chunestudy of Majuro, Marshall Islands; Colleen and Jason Wayts of Bakersfield, CA; 5 great grandchildren: Nathan Wright, Alex Wright, Haley Wayts, Madilyn Wayts, and Abigail Chunestudy.

She was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Gertrude Hughes and Donna Baker.

There will be no calling hours. Private services will be held at the Turner Funeral Home by the Rev. Jeff Matthews. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Memorial expressions may be made to the First United Methodist Church and left in care of the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street; Shelby, Ohio 44875.
