Dear Gearhart family,
Emily was a very kind hearted person a person I
like so well she reminded me in every way of my
grandma, a sweet, kind always smiling I am a
member of the First United Methodist Church and
when we had the van ministry took Emily bak and
forth to church, she loved that so much and after
that when we didn’t have the van picked her up and
took her home I couldn’t wait for Sunday to pick
her to see her smiling face, and brought her home
and she would invite me in to talk and we talked
and talked. The last I knew she was in Mansfield
if I would have known she was in Shelby again I
would have been over to visit her all the time I
loved her she will be missed. Love, Pam Sweeney

I want to extend my deepest sympathy to Mrs. Gearhart’s family. I have known her since her daughter, Norma and I attended school together. I didn’t get to see her often after I moved to California. We kept in touch as long as she was able to write or had someone to write for her. She was such a lovely lady and I know will be greatly missed. I wish I would have had a current address for her as I would have visited her when I was in Ohio.

Your Condolence Message::
We are so very sorry to hear of Emily’s passing. We knew Emily through Trevor, when our son and he were in elementary school. Derek would often visit at the Thomas home while Emily was there. She was so sweet and kind. I had the privilege of talking with Emily many times and loved her gentleness and goodness. My mother also had the opportunity to meet her and correspond with her. We did not know what happened to her after a time. Had we known where she was we would love to have been able to visit her. Please accept our sincerest sympathies and prayer that God will fill your hearts with peace after losing a loved one. Emily was a very special person.
