Elrita W. (Wachs) Pry

Elrita W. Pry, age 102, formerly of 70 Park Village, died Thursday evening in the Heritage Care Center. She was born September 2, 1889 in Crestline, the daugher of Simeon R. and Ida (Newell) Wachs.

Mrs. Pry taught in one room school houses in Crawford County prior to her marriage. She was a member of the Tiro United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Missionary Society and the Ladies Aid Society. She was a former Sunday school teacher and had served on the Election Board.

Mrs. Pry is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law: Warren and Mary Pry of Shelby,
and Lewis Eldon and Carol Pry of Crestline; 2 daughters and a son-in-law: Florence Hannafus of Shelby and Letha and Leonard Brundage of Mansfield; 13 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; 1 brother: Paul Wachs of Columbus.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Pry in 1981; 1 granddaughter, 3 brothers, . and 2 sisters.

Calling hours will be today from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home and one hour prior to the 2:00 p.m. funeral on Saturday at the Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Netty Burkey, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Biddle Cemetery, Crawford County, Ohio.

Memorial expressions may be made to the Tiro United Methodist Church and left in care of the funeral home.
