Elmer Hall, 65, died Sunday, July 22, 2012 in Shelby, Ohio.

Elmer Papaw Hall was taken home to be with the Lord after an extensive illness. He was born in Floyd County, KY but had spent most of his life in Ohio with his family. He owned Hall’s Paving and Seal Coating with his sons until his health no longer allowed him to continue. He enjoyed traveling, fishing and spending time with family and grandchildren. Elmer was a remarkable man who devoted himself to each of his grandchildren. His dream was for his children and grandchildren to continue their journey by prospering in long life full of love and joy.

He leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Carolyn Hall; his sons, Mark Hall; Jon (Michele) Hall and daughter, Penny Hall; five grandchildren, Candiss Hall, Caleb Hall, Cody Evans, Izabella Hall and Cheyanne Hall and his brothers and sisters residing in MI and KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents Carmel and Leslie Hall; son, Teddy Sexton and several brothers and sisters.

Elmer touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and always maintained his trademark sense of humor. Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours on, Friday, July 27, 2012 at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, conducted by Rev. Roy Kilgore, with a graveside service following at Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven.

He was a husband, father and grandfather; ‘Papaw’, will be deeply missed.
