Ella May (Rapier) Perry
Ella May Perry, age 47, of 40 Jenner Avenue, Shelby, died Monday, March 17, 1997, in Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, after a short illness. She was born May 11, 1949 in Mansfield, and had lived in the Mansfield and Shelby area all of her life.
Mrs. Perry was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur Perry, whom she married on June 15, 1968; 1 daughter and son-in-law: Sena May and Max Gurik of Shelby; 1 son: Daniel Lee Perry of Shelby; 2 grandsons: Cody and Chance Gurik of Shelby; her mother: Alpha Ann Rapier of Woodbine, Kentucky; 2 brothers and 1 sister-in-law: Johnny Lee Collins of Woodbine, Kentucky, and Elmer Ray and Dorothy Rapier, Jr. of Woodbine, Kentucky; 3 sisters and 1 brother-in-law: Bonnie Lou White of Williamsburg, Kentucky; Connie Sue and James Barton of Woodbine, Kentucky; and Laura Ann Lightfoot of Shelby; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Ray Rapier in 1996.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 7-9 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. O. Douglas Tackett, Pastor of Taylortown Community Church and Rev. Monty Perry, Pastor of Stiving Road Freewill Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.
