Elizabeth C. (Yeykal) Barton

Elizabeth C. Barton, 80, formerly of 1223 Lawrence Ave., Elwood City, PA, died Saturday afternoon in Crestwood Care Center after a long illness.

Born July 8, 1909, in Jeannette, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Clara (Flowers) Yeykal. Mrs. Barton was a homemaker and a member of St. Agatha Catholic Church and the Golden Agers Luncheon Organization, both in Elwood City.

Surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Robert (Clara) McKenna and Carolyn Barton, both of Shelby, and Mrs. Verne (Joanne) Noyds of Silver Spring, MD; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters: Mrs. Wayne (Clara) Campbell of Elwood City and Helen Kuzna of Amgridge, PA; and a brother, James Yeykal of Elwood City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, in 1973 and two brothers.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home, Sixth Street at Park, Elwood City. Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Agatha Catholic Church by the Rev. Thomas Kirby. Burial will be in St. Agatha Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in care of Turner Funeral Home, Shelby, which is in charge of local arrangements.
