Edwin K. Dick

Edwin K. Dick, age 77, of 223 Joelynn Drive, Shelby, died Friday, December 22, 2000 at Med Central Shelby Hospital after a short illness.

Mr. Dick was born June 4, 1923 in Richland County, Ohio the son of the late Rolla and Ruth E.
(Fidler) Dick. He was a 1941 graduate of Shelby High School and was a farmer all his life. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Hazel Grove Grange, and Richland County Farm
Bureau. He enjoyed going to livestock sales, buying and hauling animals for neighbors and friends.

He is survived by his wife Donna (Rowe) Dick, whom he wed on November 18, 1947; a son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Pam Dick of Shelby; 3 grandchildren, whom he loved, Chris
Thompson, Jessica Thompson, and Gram Dick; a sister and brother-in-law, Eileen and Mervin
Tomlinson of Shelby; a sister-in-law, Theone Hertema of Gladbrook, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his father in 1970, his mother, in 1990 and a son, Randi Dick in 1979.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday, Decmember 26, 2000 from 5-7 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, and one hour prior to the funeral service which will be held on Wednesday at 11AM at the funeral home with Rev. Jeff Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. Memorial expressions may be made to the church.
