Edward M. Stevens

Edward M. Stevens, age 51, of 831 West Debby Lane, Ontario, died Saturday morning at his home after suffering an apparent heart attack. He was born July 4, 1937 in Ashland.

Mr. Stevens is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Reidel) Stevens; 2 daughters: Audra of Pittsburgh, PA, and Jana of Sandusky; his parents, Clifford J. and Arlene C. (Long) Stevens; his mother-in-law: Mrs. Effie Reidel of Shelby; 1 brother: Tom Stevens of Daytona Beach, FL; 1 sister, Mrs. Joe (Connie) Stuckert of Mansfield.

Mr. Stevens had been the contract manager at Whitey’s Auto Mall in Mansfield. Prior to that he had been employed at the First National Bank of Shelby. He was a veteran of the Air National Guard, a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Shelby, the Shelby Masonic Lodge #350 F and AM, the Shelby Athletic Club, and a past member of the Shelby Kiawanis Club.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 A.M. at the Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Monn, lay pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery in Shelby. Calling hours will be today from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home. The Shelby Masonic Lodge will conduct services at 8:30 P.M. this evening.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association and left at the funeral home.
